What does it do?
The Blast-911 server dials out to tens of thousands of people, locating them at their different phone numbers (landline, cell etc.) and delivers pre-recorded voice messages. It simultaneously sends text messages, email, SMS, and Pager alerts.
How does it work?
Call Distribution Setup
A Telco administrator creates ‘caller groups’ containing the following information per individual
- Up to 4 telephone numbers
- Pager address
- SMS address (Mobile Phone short message)
- Email address
Call-out Actions
- The Initiator
- Calls into the server
- Enters a service code (*779#) and caller group ID + #
- Records a brief message (e.g., weather advisory) and hangs up.
- Programmable 'Caller ID' can identify 'Emergency Call,' 'Fire,' ' Tornado,' etc. through cell phone display.
- The Messaging Server
- Blast dials as many people as number of ports simultaneously
- Calls multiple numbers – cell, office, home etc
- Repeats
- As the calls are answered, delivers the message recorded by the Initiator
- Sends SMS, Pager & Email messages with textual information
- Records the audio
- DTMF message acknowledgement codes lets call receivers select numeric response (whether an individual receiver chooses to accept or decline)
Post-call Report
The Messaging Server emails an end of session message to the initiator, providing:
- Date, Time and Duration of the messaging session
- Names of called parties who received the message
