The ALERT Plus allows not only local campus dedicated lines to ring but can call outside (PSTN) phone numbers in order to contact key emergency management personnel by cell phone.

In addition, ALERT Plus allows outside callers to initiate a blast of campus phones. An authorization code protects the system from being triggered by a wrong number or telemarketer. The ALERT Plus allows one or more phones to be class-marked as "Blast Initiator" (BI). Any phone marked as a BI can initiate the crash blast simply by picking up the emergency phone handset (on campus phone) or by calling in from the PSTN.
To maximize the impact of the ALERT Plus, peripheral equipment items such as emergency phones with unique ringer and handset retention (desk or wall mount), remote contact closure modules, remote PA/Speaker modules, and remote PA output modules are now offered that make Forum your single source for turnkey emergency crash system equipment needs.
